WANG Wen places great emphasis on environmental protection. In addition to using clay for sculpture, she also favors stainless steel as a medium because it is entirely recyclable. She explores the use of recycled plastic as another medium, a subject she has been researching extensively. "Urushi" (a general term for natural lacquer) is another material she works with, derived from nature. It is a material with a long history, known for its durability, weather resistance, and ability to withstand the test of time. Although challenging to work with, the diverse and charming textures that can be achieved with this medium make the sense of accomplishment upon completing a piece particularly rewarding.
